Dear Sirs
You have very nice Home page.
I am seeking contact with the family of late Milda and Lewis E jr Ashbaugh. How can I get information from them. Milda Helena Ashbaug (b. Kohta) died in Brevard NC, 11th Oct 1989.
Thank you very much for your help.
Rev Matti Korpiaho I'm interested in the possibility of moving with my 83-year-old mother to your area, having heard and read wonderful things about it. I am a pianist and fine arts workshop teacher, and would like resources for job hunting in the area. I have been active in youth arts organizations and as an accompanist/coach for opera and musical theater in the Chicago area for many years. I'm also interested in relocation information, and in retirement community living/nursing care as a future possibility for my mother. Patti Black <pblack62@hotmail.com> Evanston, Illinois USA - I wonder if anyone out there can help me track down a family from Brevard by the name of HEIN. We have just discovered Brevard through this site and hope to spend some time there on our next trip this next summer. Thanks for this site and lettins us know about your great little hamlet. Ed Pratt <edpratt123@yahoo.com> Muncie, IN USA - I was born in Brevard in Transylvania County, NC, on July 24, 1953, to Frank Foster ("Buddy") Bagwell & Shirley Jean Gaither Bagwell, BHS graduates. My grandparents used to own a little country store in Brevard. I cherish the wonderful memories of that store, of my grandmother and of Brevard. My parents tell great stories of their childhood and school days, and of their friends, several of whom they have kept in touch with over the years. They go back to visit at least once a year to renew friendships and enjoy memories. Tiny little Brevard has changed so very much. My grandmother, in her later years, moved into an apartment complex that had been built on the very land where they had lived for many years. When I visited her there, there wasn't a swing on the front porch, or an apple tree to climb in the front yard, or Mrs. Rodgers to wave at across the field. Brevard has become a thriving retirement community, and is still growing by leaps and bounds. I hope all of you who have moved there, and who move there in the future, will love and appreciate it's magic. I feel so blessed to have roots in such a special place. My heart will always be in those beautiful mountains. Debbie Sparks <bertran@cytechusa.com> Etowah, NC USA - I owned and operated the CO-ED Cinemas from 1982-1998 and the best thing about Brevard and Transylvania County is the people. The area is beautiful and the scenery is abundant but all take a backseat to the great folks living there. I would love to hear from any of the employees and friends I made in my years in the mountains. Steve Hendrix <radax@hotmail.com> Wilmington, NC USA - Hello, I am a student at Brevard College where I am a music major. I absolutely LOVE this college and the community.
