Brevard and Transylvania County are located in the southern part of western
North Carolina only a
few miles from the North/South Carolina state line. Nestled between mountain
ranges, Brevard rest at the eastern edge of the
Pisgah National forest and Blue Ridge Mountains (and Parkway).
Though Brevard is peacefully not adjacent to any interstate highway, we are
easily accessible by car from a number of major cities. This page provides
several levels of maps of the area along with driving directions from a number
of different directions. (If you need additional maps or directions, try
MapQuest. Also, additional maps can be
found at this site the About and Shopping pages.)
In addition, the
Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is only 15 miles north on Highway 280. Among
others, there are daily direct flights to and from Atlanta and Cincinnati
via Delta
Connection airlines and Charlotte via
US Airways. Taxis and/or
limos are available at the airport and in Brevard for transportation.
